GammaView Scintillation Detector

GammaView Scintillation Detector

The compact GammaView is light, easy to carry and operate with a 1×1 Nal scintillation detector that accurately measures gamma contamination and exposure. Perfect for use in the lab, facility, and in the field.

The GammaView can also be used as a single-channel analyzer (SCA). This function allows a “window” to be set to focus on a specific energy region of the gamma spectrum, effectively reducing the background count.

Features Included
Adjustable Timer, Selectable Alert, On-board Memory, Bluetooth, Free Software

Gamma Scintillator Detector
1×1 NaI Scintillation Probe. 2.5 cm (1 in) dia. x 2.5 cm (1 in) thick with C Connector
The GammaView is optimized for use with the included 1×1 NaI probe.
Or, optional 2×2 NaI(Tl) scintillator, 5.1 cm (2 in.) dia. x 5.1 cm (2 in.) thick

  • Pulsating beeper sounds the alert.

Graphic Display with Backlight

Averaging Periods
Display updates every 3 seconds. At low background levels, the update is the average for the past 30-second time period. The timed period for the average decreases as the radiation level increases.

Meter will hold at OVER RANGE in fields as high as 100 times the maximum reading.

USB for use with Free Observer USB Software for PCs
Bluetooth for use with the Free Observer BLE App for Android.

Count Light
Red LED flashes with each radiation event.

Audio Indicator
Internally mounted beeper (can be switched off for silent operation)

Power Requirements
Two AA alkaline batteries (included). Approx. 500 hrs @ background.

Base unit – 140 X 68 X 33 mm (5.5 X 2.7 X 1.3 in.), Probe- 5.0 X 18.5 cm (2 x 7.3 in)

Temperature Range
-15°C to +50°C (14°F to 122°F)

10% to 70% Non-Condensing.

Base unit – 193 grams (6.8 oz) with batteries. Probe- 393 grams (13.8 oz)
